Whiskey Tasting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hubs has a friend at work that occasionally sends home mystery whiskey in teeny tiny unmarked bottles.\u00a0 They come home, everyone tastes, and then emails thoughts and tasting notes back.\u00a0 Except me.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t have a taste for hard alcohol.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-7648\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But Elizabeth likes whiskey!\u00a0 And we had been finishing up the last odds and ends of the hospital ceiling tear down in my living room.\u00a0 Someone grabbed some kielbasa, Brian met his wife at our house, and before you know it, we were eating bacon wrapped kielbasa!\u00a0 She even brushed it in maple syrup.\u00a0 I demanded more bacon.\u00a0 I&#8217;m demanding like that.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-7646\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We sauteed up some cabbage and peppers&#8230;.I don&#8217;t remember what she put in there, but it was tasty so I&#8217;ll have to ask her.\u00a0 Hubs made his fabulous mashed potatoes.\u00a0 I even remembered to take a picture of the flowers she brought.\u00a0 I know what she&#8217;s doing.\u00a0 She&#8217;s trying to make me all girlyfied.\u00a0 I&#8217;m the one female on the planet that doesn&#8217;t go nuts for flowers.\u00a0 Unless I can eat them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-7645\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The descriptions of the different whisky samples got interesting.\u00a0 Maybe some day I&#8217;ll taste something other than lighter fluid.\u00a0 In the meantime, there&#8217;s always wine!\u00a0 And bacon.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll have to recreate this dinner for the Single Mom Chronicles.\u00a0 Kielbasa was a life saver in those years.<\/p>\n<p><img
