I’m convinced that chickens are evolved from velociraptors.\u00a0 They certainly act like miniature carnivorous dinosaurs.\u00a0 With feathers.\u00a0 Watching them attack a snail is nothing short of horrifying.\u00a0 My girlfriend Jessie took me down to the co-op as a surprise and we picked out some chicks together.\u00a0 I think she secretly acknowledges what a procrastinator I am even though she graciously never brings it up.\u00a0 This, in turn, forced Hubs to build the coop.\u00a0 We poured over DIY plans all over the internet and finally settled on picking what we liked from a few different plans and hobbled together our own.

Let me introduce the girls.\u00a0 They are Pain, Panic, Brunhilde, and Jabberbabywocky.\u00a0 We had Misery, but she died on the seventh day after getting her.\u00a0 She’s now under the weird tree no one can identify.\u00a0 Pain is the strawberry blonde.\u00a0 She’s also my favorite.\u00a0 Panic is the grey one.\u00a0 She’s also the most squirrelly.\u00a0 Brunhilde is the leader and a Rhode Island Red.\u00a0 Jabs is a Wellsummer and Hubs’s favorite.\u00a0 He likes to make pictures of her next to beer can chickens on the grill.\u00a0 Meanie.
