Salt~Leaf Farm

Welcome to Salt~Leaf!  We grow mostly heirlooms with a special affinity for ugly tomatoes, hot peppers, weird cucumbers, and a smattering of other off the wall greens, vegetables, and fruit.  We are a tiny urban farm in Southern Oregon.  Life is so charmed here on our farm that even our street is named after a vegtable.  It’s kind of corny.  Get it….corny?  I crack myself up.

We grow in a nearly closed loop system.  We compost and the only fertilizer we use is what we get from the chickens.  We do a combination of raised beds and in the ground growing with a plan for microgreens in the future.  We grow year round  and intensively.  Our next project is creating the forest floor portion of the farm in a lovely shady corner I’ve got my eye on.  It’s perfect for mushroom logs and ferns.  And ramps!
